Prior to joining HAIVN and Harvard, David worked at John Snow, Inc, a public health consulting firm, on health systems and capacity building projects in East Africa.  David has been the recipient of the US State Department Fulbright Fellowship to research on primary care systems in Vietnam. His current research and programmatic work includes capacity building of the health sector, medical education and primary health care systems transformation. He received his Masters in Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health and a Medical Doctorate from Harvard Medical School.
