On 24 July, 2017, MOH Vice Minister Le Quang Cuong, David E. Golan, Dean for Basic Science and Graduate Education Special Advisor for Global Programs, Harvard Medical School (HMS), Randy Mason, Vice President of Research Operation, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) and Paul J. Anderson, Chief Academic Officer, Senior Vice President of Research, Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) have officially signed the collaboration MOU in HMS, Boston, USA.
After signing ceremony, the MoH delegation have had several meetings with 3 institutions in Boston on clinical training with focus in Leadership training, undergraduate Clinical clerkship, Surgery and Obstetric-Gynecology training and collaboration between university and hospital which is a relevant issue in medical education in Vietnam. The signing ceremony was witnessed by the MoH ICD staff, HPET Project Director, leaders of Ho Chi Minh city, Hue Universities of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hanoi Medical University, Cho Ray and National Obstetric-Gynecology hospitals.
This has shown that USAID-supported project has gained high-level support and recognition from the MOH. This event is a significant achievement of HAIVN and IMPACT MED Alliance in the effort of strengthen official cooperation with MoH, the highest level of health care policy maker in Vietnam.
